# Achievements

Achievements can be earned through various activities on Booktower and they are the primary way that you earn coins.

We have several types of achievements: one-time, recurring, event, and secret.

#### One-Time Achievements

You can earn one-time achievements by reaching certain milestones on your account.

Here are some of the one-time achievements:

#### Recurring Achievements

You can earn recurring achievements based on your activity on Booktower.

Right now, the main recurring achievement is based on reading something once per month.

#### Event Achievements

Event Achievements are only available during limited time events. When there's an Event Achievement available, we'll promote it.

#### Secret Achievements

Secret Achievements are achievements that you can earn through various actions on the site, but we want to keep the criteria a secret. Good luck! 😁

#### How can I earn coins?

The best way to earn coins is to use Booktower!

When you use Booktower to track your reading, you'll receive [achievements](https://help.mybooktower.com/books/achievements-coins-cosmetics/page/achievements) along the way. Those achievements have different coin rewards associated with them. We're always thinking about new achievements to add to the site - if you have any suggestions, make sure to let us know!

In addition to simply using the site, you can also follow us on social media and/or join our Discord to get access to the exclusive promo codes that we'll sometimes share there.
